Robert V. Hillyer started Hillyer Tool Sales in 1953. Originally with Southern Tool & Equipment, he ventured off to form a rep agency in what at that time was considered to be an extremely poor industrialized area. Selling almost exclusively direct to the end user, he laid a firm foundation of quality in selling that is now built upon by his sons, Barry and Bruce, and grandson Reynolds. Though our selling is now mostly through distribution, we have never lost sight of what is of the utmost importance…a happy end user.

Our goal is to sell solutions, not simply product.
